Bryan Edwards, founder of Basketball Lab, brings over 30 years of experience and a lifetime of dedication to the game of basketball. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Bryan developed a passion for the sport at an early age. His talent stood out from the beginning—he made his varsity debut as an 8th grader at Cohasset Jr./Sr. High School, went on to win two state championships, and earned a spot in the prestigious McDonald’s Classic. He also claimed an AAU National Championship title with his hometown team, BABC.

Bryan began his collegiate career at Boston College, where he was named to the Preseason All-Rookie Team. After two seasons, he transferred to James Madison University, where he quickly made an impact, earning All-CAA First Team honors in both his junior and senior years.

After college, Bryan played professionally in the CBA, USBL, and participated in the New York Knicks Summer League with the Washington Bullets. He was invited to try out with the Orlando Magic and had private workouts with the Boston Celtics before continuing his career internationally in the German Bundesliga and Australia’s NBL.

His transition from player to coach was seamless, fueled by the same drive and passion that defined his playing career. Through Basketball Lab, Bryan now trains and mentors athletes of all levels, sharing elite knowledge and developing their skills on and off the court.

Bryan’s career is decorated with accolades, including being named Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year (1988) and ranking as the sixth all-time leading scorer in state history. His standout performances earned national recognition with a feature in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd” and a spot in the prestigious Nike All-American Top 50.

From standout youth athlete to professional player to respected coach, Bryan Edwards’ journey is a testament to hard work, perseverance, and an enduring love for the game.
